That’s right good people – you did read the headline correctly!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have to admit that on first glance I thought this article was a belated April Fools joke!<\/p>\n

However, it seems not.<\/p>\n

The student was pulled over and fined when he mistakenly thought his car was still road legal as it had a valid MOT certificate. \u00a0However, this was, of course, not the case as all four doors, the headlights, front and rear indicators, bonnet, grill, and rear brake lights were missing!<\/p>\n

According to the article in the Telegraph, it seems that the student was attempting to drive the car to a recycling centre located around five miles from his home after removing a number of parts to sell on-line.<\/p>\n

As mentioned earlier, the car didn’t have any lights fitted, but the student argued that it was daylight. \u00a0To be fair, the student was using his arms to indicate when turning…<\/p>\n

Every little helps, eh!?<\/p>\n

Nottingham Magistrates’ Court found the father-of-two guilty of using a vehicle when its use involved a danger of injury to any person, and was in turn fined \u00a3110,\u00a0ordered to pay \u00a3120 costs, and given three penalty points on his licence.<\/p>\n
