As many of you will be aware, my biggest personal concern on the road is the seemingly increasing use of mobile devices while behind the wheel – I see many such instances occur on a daily basis. While I appreciate that communication technology plays a huge role in the everyday lives of most people nowadays, there is a time and a place… While driving not being one of them.\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

Worryingly, many motorists still don’t either understand, appreciate, or even care about the danger they are putting both themselves, and other road users, in by using their phone while driving.<\/p>\n

However, the dangers are all too real, with statistics showing that mobile use is now the leading cause of death behind the wheel.<\/p>\n

While doing some research I stumbled upon a brilliantly worked, point-proving, and thoroughly thought provoking short film from car giants, Volkswagen, which illustrates the behaviour of people, and how easily they are distracted by their mobile devices.<\/p>\n
