According to a report entitled ‘Connected Cars: Consumer & Commercial Telematics and Infotainment 2014-2018’, the use of in-vehicle apps is expected to reach 269m by 2018 – this is more than a five-fold increase based upon last year’s figures.\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

It is thought that the growth in numbers will be fuelled by systems such as Apple’s CarPlay, which will be used to promote them to the mainstream.<\/span><\/p>\n
