New date sourced from Police Scotland has revealed dozens of cases of cars being recorded at well in excess of 100mph, with one driver caught travelling at 139mph in a 60mph zone.<\/span><\/h1>\n

Recorded over a 26-month period, the figures were obtained by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) through a Freedom of Information (FOI) request.<\/span><\/p>\n

The highest figure recorded in England & Wales during the same period was 149mph…<\/span><\/p>\n

It goes without saying that travelling at such speeds is totally unacceptable, and just serves to reinforce the notion that there are still drivers out there still recklessly displaying a contempt for the law, along with the safety of their fellow road users.<\/span><\/p>\n
