Driving Schools Sunderland: Are You Breaking The Law?

By | 25/09/2014

Many drivers are unaware that an increasing number of motoring offences could be committed due to their activities while behind the wheel.

With the increasing number of traffic and CCTV cameras monitoring our every move, the modern motorist is increasingly vulnerable to unwitting criminal behaviour, which is increasing the chances of being pulled over by the police. In addition to the common reasons such as speeding, motorists could be stopped for a number of other offences such as eating a sandwich, or even driving with a dirty number plate (that’ll be a £1,000 fine!).

Furthermore, many drivers think that because they quite rightly pull over to the side of the road before making a call or checking a text, that they are keeping within the law, however unless the engine is switched off, it could be deemed that you are using the phone while in control of the vehicle, which in turn will carry three points and a fairly hefty fine.
