From 8 June 2015, the paper counterpart to the photocard driving licence is being abolished by DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency), therefore if you have one, you will need to destroy it.
Please note however, that is it essential you hold on to your photocard, and should you still be in possession of an old-style paper driving licence (these were issued before the photocard was introduced in 1998), it is essential that you hold on to this as they will remain valid and therefore should not be destroyed.

As always – stay safe out there.
