Reflection…
…Wow!
What a brilliant day!
It was great to see all the lads, but I’ve just returned home and left them in the pub celebrating! (yours truly being the only one not drinking I’ll have you know..!)
The atmosphere at the full-time whistle was simply magic!
Naturally I’m absolutely delighted with the result today particularly since it was against the noisy neighbours from ‘up-the-road, however, the manner in which we were set-up and the intent that we showed throughout the game was hugely encouraging for the remainder of the season.
Man of the Match? For me, I honestly thought that every player to a man had upped their game today, but I thought that goals aside, Altidore and Colback were key men, and I must say what a difference it makes to have a natural left full-back in the side in the form of Dossena.
Hopefully he becomes a regular feature.
It would be nice to hear the opposition manager showing a little class by giving us credit for the win, however, I’ve just heard him on Sky Sports News and… it didn’t happen!
Anyway, I’m absolutely exhausted by the occasion so I think I’ll have a hearty meal then settle down and watch the whole thing again on Sky +, followed of course, by tuning into the highlights on Match Of The Day 2!
A hugely enjoyable but emotionally draining day, but I wouldn’t change it for a million pounds!
So all that is left to say is, “Ding, ding! All aboard the Gus Bus: Next stop Hull City!”.
😀
