Driver With 29 Points But Allowed To Keep Licence.

A Takeaway driver has been allowed to keep his licence despite being given 18 penalty points in one hit for using an unsafe car.

The driver, who already had 11 points on his licence, pleaded guilty to a string of motoring offences when he appeared at court, however the courts’ took pity on him after he said he would lose his job if he did not have a driving licence – as this would result in him, his wife and their children ending up homeless as they would be unable to meet their mortgage payments.

The decision to not disqualify the driver was made due to ‘mitigating circumstances’….
