Anyone who knows me knows that I love Ford. Simply put, they are in my opinion the industry leaders at what they do, and what they do they do extremely well.
So, when I heard that Ford were releasing two new special edition models of is brilliant Fiesta, I certainly made me sit up and take notice!
The new editions, which are essentially souped-up editions of Ford’s Zetec S model, are named the Red and the Black, which is in reference to the dominant colour in their two-tone paint scheme.
In addition to the cosmetic changes, and more importantly, the new editions use a tuned version of Ford’s Ecoboost three-cylinder, one-litre turbo engine which makes a more than healthy 138bhp – the standard Zetec S has an output of 123bhp.
Interestingly, Ford reckon that its newly souped-up engine makes more power per litre than the mighty Bugatti Veyron or a Ferrari 458 Speciale.
Having seen the images, it’s certainly a handsome little sprite!
