Driving Lessons Sunderland: Could You Pass Your Driving Test Again?

By | 29/05/2014

A new study has found that a worrying three quarters of experienced drivers would fail their driving test if they were required to take it again in the present day.

Of the fifty experienced motorists – all of whom received no refresher training beforehand – involved in sitting a mock driving test, only 12 managed to achieve a pass, while the remainder of those tested averaged a worrying three major driving faults and sixteen “minor” driving faults, all of which would comfortably result in test failure.

The study found that some of the most common failings included:

• Speeding.

• Failure to use the mirrors.

• Poor observation while reversing.

• Incorrect / poor gear selection.
