According to BBC Newsbeat, the Government had decided to put their radical proposed changes to the driving test and the subsequent restrictions on hold.
The original proposals were made public way back in October 2013, in an attempt to cut road deaths among young drivers, however it seems that the Government have had a change of heart as they don’t want to restrict the lives of young people in such a way.
These proposals would have radically changed the process of how people learn to drive, and would also, by way of a graduated licence, have severely restricted the movements of new drivers.
