Driving Schools Sunderland: Special New Car For Police Force

By | 06/06/2014

Avon and Somerset Constabulary have taken delivery of a rather special, if not unusual, new car for use in its ‘Safer Rider’ campaign.

No, the force have not taken delivery of a Volvo or similar sensible vehicle.  Instead, the force now have a special bit of kit in the form of the very latest Ariel Atom 3.5R!

The car is set to be used to promote safer motorcycling over the coming summer months, and is part of a joint campaign which also includes the Tri Force Specialist Operations Collaboration, Somerset Road Safety, and Project Safer Rider.

The car, which is one of only a limited few cars capable keeping up with a superbike, features a huge 350hp supercharged Honda engine, which is capable of a 0-60pm time of just 2.5 seconds!

With Christmas only a few months away, I may just ask Santa to get me one!
