Half A Million Drivers Caught Using Their Mobile While Driving.

Quite frankly shocking figures released by the DVLA have revealed that over half-a-million drivers have now been caught and prosecuted for using their mobile phone while driving.

The statistics also reveal that Glasgow has the unwanted title of being the worst place for drivers committing such an offence, with a huge 28,000 motorists in the Scottish city having been caught.

Naturally, road safety group ‘Brake’ has called on motorists to switch off their phones before they drive.

Sadly, my guess would be far in excess of the number actually caught doing so…
