Right then, now I have pointed that out, onto the story!
According the the article in the Daily Star, the learner was spotted swerving all over the road by other motorists.
Is seems that the learner contacted her instructor by text for a lesson close to midnight as she was ‘bored’. When she was stopped by the police, she was wearing red pyjamas and told police she had not touched alcohol for more than 24 hours so thought the alcohol would be out of her system.
The learner driver was found to be double the legal limit.
If nothing else, a story such as this goes to prove that even when you may think you are fit to drive, and feel that sufficient time has passed since your last drink, this is not necessarily the case as so many different variable factors can play their part…
