Officers called to a rush hour collision between two cars on the southbound carriageway of the M11, were “shocked and amazed” to see a number of people actually filming the scene with their mobile phones while still driving.
The collision, which required the attendance of Paramedics and Fire Fighters, were dealing with the incident whilst drivers on both carriageways were seen to be slowing down in order to see the casualties involved and the extent of the damage.
Officers have obtained the registration numbers of some of the motorists involved, and have said that they would be served with notices of intended prosecution for the offence of using a mobile device while driving.
