We all have ’em.. whatever they may be: I know that I certainly do!
The results of a poll of the top fifty driver bugbears have been published.
It appears that some of the most popular gripes include:
- Motorists braking late.
- High parking charges.
- Vehicles tail-gating.
- Potholes in the road.
- Drivers using mobile phones on the move.
- Being cut up by other motorists.
- The high cost of fuel.
- Traffic jams.
- Motorcyclists weaving through traffic.
- Getting lost.
The study of 2,000 motorists also found that as many as 60 per cent felt stressed behind the wheel, with the morning commute being highlighted as a particularly stressful time of day.

Just for the record, a couple of my own personal bugbears include drivers using a mobile device behind the wheel, witnessing children travelling whilst unrestrained, and motorists who, for some strange reason, wait around a car length (or more!) back from a junction when preparing to emerge… JUST WHY?!?
