Sunderland Driving Lessons: Motorists Driving “Too Fast” On Country Roads

By | 04/08/2014

According to the results of a survey carried out by road safety charity Brake, drivers are using country roads as “their personal race track”.

The survey polled 1,000 motorists concerning their use of country lanes, and found that 80 per cent of those polled believed that traffic is travelling too fast on such roads for them to be safe.

A number of other questions were asked, however when asked the the reason for their speed, worryingly one of the most common reasons given was that they felt there were fewer speed cameras around such areas, which in turn reduced the chance of being caught and prosecuted.
