Given the time I spend on the road, I regularly come across some strange or even, in some cases, ridiculously placed road signs or markings.
For example, I recently noticed two very visible 20mph signs located at the entrance to a “road” which stretched no more than thirty feet! Whilst I can fully appreciate that in order to comply with the laws concerning road signs & markings that such signs need to be displayed, I personally feel that occasionally common sense should prevail.
Essentially, some signs or markings are simply not necessary.
I stumbled upon a small news article on MSN News recently which highlighted what is thought to be the UK’s smallest (and in my opinion most ridiculous) parking restriction: a nine-inch long double-yellow line!
Crazy!
Unless the Borrowers are on a family outing and decide to illegally park, this particular road marking is quite frankly bordering on the ridiculous!
I’m sure that, one day, common sense will prevail (fingers crossed, eh!).

Stay safe folks!
