So there I was: a beautiful sunny day, window half-way down, shades on with Jay-Z bellowing in my ears. . . Nice!
I arrive at the traffic lights; pop the hand brake on, back into neutral, sitting there minding my own business. . . as you do.
In many ways an idyllic scene. What I didn’t notice was the butterfly (if it wasn’t a butterfly, it must have been a HUGE Moth) which had; as I said, unbeknown to me at the time, decided to come along for the ride.
I only realised as much when said butterfly decided to make a brazen attempt to attach itself to my nose!
Time stood still for a moment (a bit like the ‘Matrix’), then the next thing I know I’m in full-on defence mode throwing out these impressive ‘ninja style’ moves with my hands ninety-to-the dozen in my efforts to defend myself from an, at the time, unknown adversary (Bruce Lee would have been proud I’m sure). . . all of this to the utter amusement of the guy sitting in his car to the right of me!
Well, in the end Mr Butterfly (I’m only assuming that it was male) decided to seek an alternative means of travel and promptly made its exit via the passenger window, but as you can imagine, not my proudest moment. . !
Please note: No insects were harmed during the scenario explained above!
