Unnecessary Red Tape Cut For Motorists.

By | 10/12/2013

Roads Minister Robert Goodwill has announced that from 16th December 2013, motorists will no longer need their motor insurance policy to be checked when getting their vehicle tax.

The announcement is just part of a package of measures to get rid of unnecessary red tape.

When the changes come into effect, motorists will only need to tell the DVLA once when they declare their vehicle off-road by way of a Statutory Off Road Notification (SORN); currently motorists need to renew their SORN every year.
