Following my numerous pleas to students over the last few months to only use the official DSA Theory Test booking site, an advert that claimed a charge of £31.00 but actually levied nearly £50.00 has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
The ASA received 22 complaints about the advert, saying that it was misleading both on price, and because it gave the impression the site was an official government theory test provider.
The banning of this advert is great news for the industry: hopefully from now on candidates will only be charged the current fee of £31.00 from the official provider.
