Reflection…
First off I personally hope that he sticks with it and turns things around, however after witnessing Paolo’s interaction with the away faithful at the conclusion of the game today, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he walks away before the night is out…
Woeful is probably the most polite way of summing up the game: ZERO shots on target… ’nuff said.
Surprise, surprise… no prizes for guessing who returned to haunt us… Mr Sessegnon.
Pressure on Di Canio now for sure. As worrying as it is, we are still very early on in the season – PLEASE give the guy a chance, eh?
This is the same man we were all praising when we demolished ‘them up the road’ last season and he kept us up to boot.
Short memories good people. Ellis Short was of course taking a big gamble with the appointment of a relatively inexperienced man in PDC, but for me if you support the club, you should support the club’s decisions while he is still the manager.
Granted, the situation is hugely concerning for us all, but to call for the manager’s head after five games (as poor as it has been)… surely not.
My angle on things will, naturally, be different should the current situation not change soon, but at this stage I will make do with simply sulking about it…
There is a LOT of soul searching to be done at the training ground over the coming weeks, but a chance to lay the foundations for change is just around the corner.
On to the next one… we move on…
Keep the faith,
Chris
