Following the 150-car pile-up on the New Sheppey Crossing Bridge in Kent back on September 5 last year, police have now said that they have enough evidence to prosecute 32 of the motorists involved.
The pile-up, which took place during severely thick fog, lasted a full 10 minutes as lorries and cars – travelling in visibility of just 25 yards – smashed into each other.
Even though eight people suffered serious injuries in the pile-up, along with two hundred people requiring treatment at the scene, fortunately no-one lost their life.
