Study Recommends Elderly Driver Age Alert.

A survey carried out by the AA (Automobile Association) has found that a large percentage of drivers would avoid tailgating if they were made aware that the vehicle they were following was being driven by somebody elderly.

Almost half of the drivers surveyed said that they would be treat elderly drivers more considerately on the road given this information.

It is thought that by having a method of drawing attention to an “experienced” driver – possibly by way of a sticker or sign on the vehicle – could well have a similar effect to that of the “baby on board” style stickers which are displayed by many new parents.
