The technology for self-driving cars has been in development for some time now, however the race is now on to build a self-driving car which can negotiate difficult driving conditions.
BMW have now revealed that they are testing autonomous cars which can slide round corners at high speeds in a manner akin to the skill and precision it takes professional racing drivers many years to perfect.
The system, which has thus far been installed into a modified 2-Series Coupe and 6-Series Gran Coupe, used advanced technology which enables them to intelligently negotiate turns and obstacles at high speeds.
Pretty impressive stuff I am sure you will agree!
