Great granny Laura Thomas has enjoyed a steady stream of customers for 76 years.
In recognition of this, ‘The Mirror” decided to provided a representative to take a mock driving test with Mrs Thomas.
Whilst watching I did notice that Mrs Thomas asked the man from ‘The Mirror’ to “Turn the vehicle around, using your forward and reverse gears, and to do so whilst not hitting the kerb…”, however the footage appear to shoe the reverse parallel park manoeuvre!
…Bad editing I am sure.
A couple of things about the article did surprise me. One thing was to read that Mrs Thomas has never used dual controls in her training vehicles, and I was also surprised to read that Mrs Thomas is “Fond of a rap on the knuckles with her trusty diary when our man lazily left his hand on the gear stick…”
Anyway, my hat is off to her!
