A car dealer has been jailed for fraud and ordered to pay £390,000 after tricking customers into overpaying for vehicles by reducing their mileage.
The 26 year old car dealer is thought to have pocketed over £100,000 by illegally tampering with the vehicles’ odometers and forging the associated documents in order to sell the vehicles at premium rates.
It is thought that he fraudulently sold 74 used cars on-line by wiping a combined SIX MILLION miles from them.
