A survey has found that London is the home of the UK’s angriest drivers, with a huge 63 per cent of those who drive in London admitting that they get angry and aggressive when behind the wheel.

The reasons given include:

• Traffic jams (45%)

• Cyclists and pedestrians (34%)

• Waiting at traffic lights and junctions (33%)

• Lorries and delivery drivers (26%)

• Bad manners from other drivers ranked (24%)

Other reasons for anger amongst drivers UK wide include the following:

• Bad parking  (22%)

• Slow drivers (17%)

• School run parents (12%)

While London has been named as the home of the UK’s angriest drivers, it seems that drivers in the North of England and the Scottish Highlands were the least angry, while also being found to be more courteous than their Southern counterparts.

Being from the North myself, this news is pleasant to hear I must admit!
