MPs have said that Lawyers should be banned from offering incentives such as shopping vouchers and electrical devices to encourage those involved in accidents to pursue compensation claims.
The claims, which drive up insurance premiums for all, cost firms more than 2 billion a year according to industry experts, and essentially add more than £90 to the average car insurance premium.
