That’s right folks – the Government are to consider introducing a five-minute grace period for motorists who overstay on their parking.
Whilst this grace period is being officially considered, many councils say that they currently allow motorists a few minutes longer before writing a ticket, however it is a grey area which would be need to be cleared up if written into law.
How about this figure…
In the year 2012-13, Councils in England earned over 316 million pounds from fines and tickets – this is after administration costs!?
Phenomenal amount I am sure you will agree!
