Student Caught Driving Car Without Any Doors, Lights Or Bonnet.

By | 05/04/2014

That’s right good people – you did read the headline correctly!

I have to admit that on first glance I thought this article was a belated April Fools joke!

However, it seems not.

The student was pulled over and fined when he mistakenly thought his car was still road legal as it had a valid MOT certificate.  However, this was, of course, not the case as all four doors, the headlights, front and rear indicators, bonnet, grill, and rear brake lights were missing!

According to the article in the Telegraph, it seems that the student was attempting to drive the car to a recycling centre located around five miles from his home after removing a number of parts to sell on-line.

As mentioned earlier, the car didn’t have any lights fitted, but the student argued that it was daylight.  To be fair, the student was using his arms to indicate when turning…

Every little helps, eh!?

Nottingham Magistrates’ Court found the father-of-two guilty of using a vehicle when its use involved a danger of injury to any person, and was in turn fined £110, ordered to pay £120 costs, and given three penalty points on his licence.
