It has been revealed that local authorities issued eight million parking tickets to motorists last year alone. This equates to one every four seconds! The sum raised due to such penalty charge notices (PCN’s) is thought to be in excess of £255 million. The reason the sum is expected to be higher is that the figures were based upon […]
Part-time traffic lights installed on a roundabout in Preston, Lancs, which were part of a £3.5m scheme four years ago, have yet to be switched on. The traffic lights, installed to help tackle congestion, have remained switched off as congestion hasn’t been serious enough to justify switching them on. On a personal note, while I do agree […]

Through my work with learner drivers, I often hear students comparing themselves and their progress against that of their friends… particularly if their friends are also learning with me! Of course, it is 100% human nature to compete and compare ones self to others, however while I appreciate that learning from others is important, it can […]
Here we have another great short film produced by ‘The Rank Organisation’. On this occasion, it is looking at the “new-for-the-time” Hovercraft revolution and how it affects the way we travelled about. From being a young boy, I have always been a massive fan of all things car related. I remember yearning for the day […]
