Top Motoring ‘Loophole’ Solicitor Caught At Twice The Drink Drive Limit.

By | 16/10/2013

A top Solicitor who specialises in motoring ‘loophole’ cases has been banned from driving for 18 months, and fined £1,450 after being caught drink-driving in her Mercedes.

The Police were contacted by a passer-by who spotted Helen Dugdale, 44, driving erratically.  When the police arrived at her home, they saw Dugdale on the driveway smelling of alcohol and the police also noticed that the car’s engine was still warm which is a sign that it had been recently driven.

She failed the breath test and was in turn asked to step into their patrol car.

When tested, Dugdale was found to have 76 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.  The current maximum legal limit is only 35mg.

In addition to the driving ban and fine, she must also attend an awareness course designed for convicted drink drivers.
