Hot on the heels of my post yesterday concerning a motorist driving with the bonnet of his vehicle up (*shakes head*), such acts of driving madness, it seems, are not isolated.
An article on ‘This Is Hampshire.Net’ has reported a story about a motorist spotted having a shave while driving!
That’s right people: Having a shave… you can’t think this stuff up.
The alleged offence was spotted during a police operation on major roads in Hampshire and the Thames Valley. It seems that the lorry driver concerned was seen driving with a razor in one hand and a water bottle in the other.
This was not the only such offence spotted during the week long operation. Other offences spotted include a lorry driver brushing his teeth, and a woman doing her make-up in the rear view mirror.
The operation prosecuted at total of 198 motorists for 227 offences: the majority of which were for driving whilst distracted.
